HollyHedge Estate was incredibly honored to host the marriage of two beautiful women, Ceilia Goldberg and Cheryl Ellis, on January 18 in New Hope, PA. Mrs. Ellis and Mrs. Goldberg were the first same-sex couple of 2015 to celebrate their union at HollyHedge. Not long after Pennsylvania’s historic decision to legalize same-sex marriages on May 20, 2014, Ceilia and Cheryl decided to celebrate their wedding in January 2015. Though, they had done a commitment ceremony 4 years earlier in Niagara Falls, they wanted to share a wedding – with all of its legal authority – with their family, friends and beautiful children.
With two young children, they chose to do a Frozen themed wedding. The weather more than cooperated with their theme, and showered the couple and their guests with a very healthy storm of ice and snow. We were so happy to have been a small part of Ceilia and Cheryl’s wedding, and to have helped them take advantage of Pennsylvania’s new marriage equality.
